About Dr. Chris
Dr. Chris (Christopher Hume-Phillips) graduated from University of NSW after completing a Bachelor of Science Degree(Anatomy Major) in 1990, then Graduated from Macquarie Univerity in 1992 after completing his Masters in Chiropractic degree.
Whilst at Macquarie University, Dr. Chris continued as an associate lecturer at UNSW teaching various Anatomy subjects to Chiropractic and Medical students for 3 years.
In 1994, he relocated to Brisbane to take over a practice there. Whilst there, in 1998-1999, he completed his Post-graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic with RMIT university.
In May 2000, Dr. Chris left Queensland, to travel though outback Australia for 4 months, and then settled in Adelaide (his birth place), as an associate in the practice he now co-owns, where he married the practice manager who initially employed him! He and his wife, Trudy, now have a busy household with 3 teenage children.
From 2001 to 2011, Dr. Chris returned to RMIT as a lecturer for the Animal Chiropractic course, teaching Chiropractors, Veterinarians and Osteopaths, various subjects for the course. Additionally, he was a guest lecturer for the Australian Veterinary Acupuncture Society, teaching neurology.
He now remains a sole practitioner at Clovelly Park Chiropractic, with a busy 'human' practice, and additionally, continues to provide animal chiropractic services.
Dr. Chris has had a number of t.v. appearances, including Adelaide's "A Current Affair", and "Totally Wild", both featuring his expertise in animal chiropractic.
Dr. Chris is a member of the Chiropractor's Association of Australia, the Australian Spinal Research Foundation, and a member of the Centre for Veterinary Education(Sydney University).
You will find Dr. Chris approachable, knowledgeable and resourceful, and willing to help you confront some of the tougher questions about what time and energy you're investing in your health, i.e. your "Duty of Care" to yourself.
